IBFAN Southeast Asia presents Mom’s Mime on
"The Beauty vs. the Beast in the World of Breastfeeding”.
A 21 minutes of colorful dance depicting Indonesia,Vietnam and Philippines’ portrayal of sound traditional practices related to breastfeeding and complementary feeding ensuring food security until the babyfood companies disrupted mothers power to nurture naturally, polluting Mother Earth and profiting greed from women’s wages, work and worries. But solidarity work of women supporting women tries to challenge the giant milk monster Nestle by capturing back Breastfeeding practices and Indigenous Food security for country’s sovereignty.
Note: Southeast Asia comprised of 11 countries namely: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore,Thailand, Vietnam and Timor Leste.
